The Biosolutions Bulletin . Novonesis, Denmark

For more than two years, I have been working with Novonesis, a global biosolutions company headquartered in Denmark, developing science-led articles for their newsletter, The Biosolutions Bulletin.

Each article begins with deep research across scientific papers, policy reports, industry material, and expert conversations. From there, I build a storytelling arc that turns complex subjects such as biotechnology, biosolutions, food systems, aquaculture, pet health, biofuels, and industrial innovation into clear, engaging stories for a general audience.

This work represents the core of what I do: research deeply, understand the complexity, and find the story that helps people care.

My First Bylines in Denmark

After relocating to Denmark, these pieces became important milestones for me. They were among my first published articles here and helped me continue the journalist part of my identity in a new country. They also reflect the kind of reporting I have always been drawn to: environment, biodiversity, public issues, and the relationship between people, policy, and nature.

The Copenhagen Post

Human Impact, Reforestation and Biodiversity in Thy National Park

A reported environmental feature from Denmark exploring forest restoration, biodiversity, local concerns, and the complex relationship between human intervention and ecological recovery.

Danish Development Research Network

Research-led and data-based pieces on India’s wastewater and solid waste management challenges.

Journalism in India

Before moving to Denmark, I spent around years as a newspaper journalist in India, in the city of Hyderabad — a bustling metropolitan in the South Indian state of Telangana — reporting on science, environment, health, climate, wildlife, public policy, civic systems, data, and the impact of unsustainable industrial practices.

During that time, I published more than 1,000 bylined stories across English newspapers. The stories below are a selected few from that body of work.

They show the foundation of my writing today: deep research, field reporting, expert conversations, public-interest storytelling, and the ability to turn complex information into stories people can understand and care about.

Forest and Wildlife Conservation

These stories explored how conservation is shaped not only by forests and wildlife, but also by infrastructure, industry, governance, habitat fragmentation, and the choices societies make about land.

A science-led conservation story on how fragmented forests can affect tiger genetics, movement, and long-term survival.
A reported story on infrastructure projects, forest corridors, and the risks posed to tiger movement and habitat connectivity.

Data Journalism

Some stories begin not with a quote, but with a number. These reports used official data, surveys, and government findings to uncover trends that affected people’s lives, livelihoods, and access to essential services.

A data-led story using industrial statistics to report on declining factories, employment, and economic activity in Telangana.
A data-led report on household indebtedness, financial pressure, and the wider social risks linked to debt.

Health Reporting

Health reporting taught me how closely science, public systems, policy, and everyday life are connected. These stories looked beyond symptoms and events to examine the wider systems shaping public health outcomes.

A science-led public health story on antibiotic-resistant bacteria found in Hyderabad’s lakes.
A public health story examining how the pandemic affected tuberculosis detection and exposed pressure points in the health system.

Urban Environmental Issues

A data-backed urban environmental story on the poor water quality of Hyderabad’s lakes and what it revealed about pollution and civic neglect.
An accountability story questioning pollution-control claims and examining gaps in environmental monitoring and enforcement.

Local Impacts of Climate Change

Climate change is often discussed as a global crisis, but its impacts are felt locally through floods, heat, water stress, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted lives. This reporting focused on how climate risks were already becoming visible on the ground.

A climate story explaining how changing rainfall patterns and urban development could worsen flooding in Hyderabad.
A reported story connecting untreated sewage, greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, and the need for better sewage treatment in Hyderabad.

Impact of Unsustainable Industrial Practices

These stories examined what happens when industrial activity expands without enough regard for ecosystems, communities, or long-term consequences. They are some of the clearest examples of my reporting on the collision between development, environment, regulation, and public health.

A reported story on industrial pollution, contaminated waterbodies, and the impact of pharmaceutical activity on local communities.
A story on coal mine expansion, wildlife clearance, protected habitats, and industrial pressure on a crocodile sanctuary.
